Elise Parker-Thomson
Thomson & Associates Director
Elise started her working life in the Commonwealth public service before a break to care for her young family. Returning to the workforce Elise forged a career in administration and finance, working predominantly in the mining and resources sectors. She started her own bookkeeping business and was engaged by clients ranging from small privately funded exploration companies to publicly listed entities. Being self-employed allowed Elise to pursue a Bachelor of Laws on a full-time basis while raising her four children as a single parent. In 2014 she was appointed, and continues to be, a co-executor and trustee who oversees the management of an investment portfolio on behalf of one of her clients.
After graduation, Elise volunteered with JusticeNet and the Women’s Legal Service before taking employment in a boutique firm where she worked across many areas of practice. In October 2018 Elise decided to establish her own firm with a view to the provision of affordable, and efficient legal services within her local community. Thomson & Associates is a boutique generalist firm with a focus on family, and wills and estate law. The strong accounting skills Elise developed in her life before legal practice now serve to help her deliver effective and informed services, particularly when dealing with complex transactions.
Elise is a member of the Law Society of South Australia, the Women’s Lawyer’s Association, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has spent significant time on the Human Rights Committee and the Access to Justice Committees of the Law Society of South Australia. In her spare time she loves scuba diving, and travelling locally and overseas. Her recreational certification is PADI Master Scuba Diver and professional qualification of PADI Dive Master.
Haneen Haddad
Lawyer
Haneen Haddad joined the team at Thomson & Associates in 2023.
Graduating from Flinders University and admitted into the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2017, Haneen started working in a small legal practice before moving to a community legal centre where she worked primarily as a family lawyer in regional and metro South Australia.
Haneen then moved to a national conveyancing firm as a multi-jurisdictional lead property lawyer focusing on purchase / sale contract negotiations and advice in SA, NSW, QLD and VIC.
From there, Haneen opened a small practice as a sole practitioner, servicing estate planning, family law, estate administration, conveyancing/property law and general commercial before merging with Thomson & Associates.
In her free time, Haneen enjoys spending time with her growing young family and traveling.
